Bosphorus Ensemble

Bosporus Ensemble was formed in Gothenburg in 2016. It's a musical meeting point for the enthusiasts of experiencing different types or grooves and melodies. The ensemble is mainly created to play middle eastern and near eastern repertoire.

The orchestra, which consists of about twenty instrumentalists from almost as many countries, plays a mixture of classical and traditional music. 

The orchestra from Gothenburg presents a concert program that includes songs by one of the Middle East's biggest stars Umm Kulthum - Enta Omri "Du är mitt liv" - and a medley of traditional Armenian folk music and newly written compositions.

Their music creates a bridge between different cultures and wants to bring people closer together through music.
